The public comment period has now closed. The EPA received a record number of submissions totalling 59,000. 

If one thing is clear, it’s that the community doesn’t want to see Alcoa’s expansion plans go ahead. We’ll be sharing next steps soon. 

It’s important that we keep the pressure on as a community and show the Environmental Protection Authority, Minister Michael, Minister Swinbourn, the WA Government and the Federal Government that Alcoa’s expansions cannot be approved.
